Certificate in Youth MinistryCYMT’s Certificate in Youth Ministry program is a two-year process. Students will take the following coursework to complete the certificate. In addition to the coursework, students participate fully in the CYMT’s coaching program as a part of the certification process. The CYMT Certificate in Youth Ministry certifies that students have received not only the best education but also practical training and experience. All coursework is accredited through Memphis Theological Seminary. Students earn a total of 32 credit hours that can be applied towards a degree from MTS or could be transferred to another seminary or divinity school. Certificate in Youth Ministry Coursework: Theological Foundations for Youth Ministry Semester B: New Testament Teaching the Gospel to Adolescents Semester C: Church History Developing Theological Models for Youth Ministry Semester D: Christian Beliefs Advanced Studies on Youth, Culture, and the Church Students also earn 6 hours of youth ministry practicum credit and 2 hours for leadership development for a total of 32 hours of credit that make up the Certificate in Youth Ministry program. The year of entry into the CYMT program determines the cycle of the coursework. Students can take the coursework in a ABCD or CDAB semester format. |
